Chicken Sukka, Maharashtrian Style Chicken Sukka
Learn how to make Chicken Sukka Masala. One of the easiest recipes that you will find online.
The recipe given below is a basic Chicken sukka masala in which the key ingredient that I have used is Coriander leaves. The end result is a tasty green masala chicken sukka dish that can be served as a starter or to compliment a main serving. To keep it simple, I have used only a few ingredients that are readily available in any Indian kitchen.
- Serves: 2 persons
- Preparation Time: 15 minutes
- Cooking Time: 20 minutes
- 800 grams Chicken
- 4 tbsp - Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp - Butter
- 2 tbsp - Lemon Juice
- 1-2 - Finely chopped onions
- 2 Cups - Coriander Leaves
- 2 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp - Chicken Masala
- 1 tbsp - Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp - Chilly powder
- 1 tbsp - Salt
- 1/2 Cup - Water
1: The first step is to wash the chicken pieces under running water and drain the excess water after that's done.
2: Next, grind the Coriander leaves and Onions in a mixer grinder. Ensure that you get a smooth paste. If it is too dry, consider adding half a cup of water to the mixture.
3: Add chicken masala, red chilly powder, salt, garam masala, ginger garlic paste and the masala from the mixer grinder onto the chicken pieces.
Mix well and keep this aside for 20 minutes.
4: After 20 minutes, heat butter and oil in a cooking pot. Ensure that you do this on a very low flame as butter melts very quickly.
5: Now, transfer the marinated chicken pieces to the cooking pot and cover it with a lid. Cook for 20 minutes on a low flame. After 10 minutes of cooking, stir the pieces in the pot. By doing this, all the chicken pieces will get evenly cooked.
6: That's it, your Chicken Sukka cooked in maharashtrian style is ready to be served.
Serve this as a starter or as a main dish with Chapati or Rice. This dish is finger licking good and trust me you'll be using this recipe everytime you think of making Chicken Sukka at home.
